Creamy Clementine Smoothie


This is like having a creamsicle!  This smoothie is not only tasty, but it’s super easy to make. In addition, it has the perfect amount of calories (around 370 with the protein powder) and a good mix of healthy sugar, protein and fat.   
I like it for breakfast once a week as a treat smoothie or a post workout recovery drink after a long one.  If sugar content is concerning, then again make sure you are not drinking this one every day. 




Ingredients
1 cup Almond Breeze Unsweetened Vanilla
   ½ frozen banana, peeled and sliced before freezing
    2 -3  clementines, peeled
   1 Tablespoon ground flax seeds
   1 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional)                                                                                        
   1/2 cup of Liquid Egg Whites                                                                                                                2 tbls of 0% Greek Yogurt                                                                                                                                 2 -3 ice cubes 

Instructions
1.   Blend all ingredients in a high powered blender and serve immediately.

Lean Green Smoothie



Lean Green Smoothie


True to it's green name, this smoothie is nutrient packed and delicious.  It is loaded with fresh spinach, while the highlight of the smoothie is freshly sliced pineapple.  The smoothie is complemented by ripe apple or pear, fresh cucumber and mint.   A little bit of agave nectar adds a touch of sweetness.



Ingredients:

1cup of fresh pineapple
1/2 cup cucumber, peeled and chopped
1 ripe apple or pear, peeled, cored and chopped
Juice from 1 lime
1 cup baby spinach leaves
5 mint leaves, chopped                                                                                                                            2 Tbls of Greek Yogurt                                                                                                                               1 scoop of Vanilla Protein Powder                                                                                                            1/4 c of Liquid Egg Whites
1 tsp agave nectar – optional (it is like honey but $$$) - optional
1 tsp of chia seeds or ground flaxseed
3 Ice Cubes




Blend all ingredients - you may wish to add some water to thin it out!
