Lean Green
Smoothie
True to it's green name, this smoothie is nutrient packed and delicious.
It is loaded with fresh spinach, while the highlight of the smoothie is freshly
sliced pineapple. The smoothie is complemented by ripe apple or pear,
fresh cucumber and mint. A little
bit of agave nectar adds a touch of sweetness.
Ingredients:
1cup of fresh pineapple
1/2 cup cucumber, peeled and chopped
1 ripe apple or pear, peeled, cored and chopped
Juice from 1 lime
1 cup baby spinach leaves
5 mint leaves, chopped 2 Tbls of Greek Yogurt 1 scoop of Vanilla Protein Powder 1/4 c of Liquid Egg Whites
1 tsp agave nectar – optional (it is like honey but $$$) - optional
1 tsp of chia seeds or ground flaxseed
3 Ice Cubes
1/2 cup cucumber, peeled and chopped
1 ripe apple or pear, peeled, cored and chopped
Juice from 1 lime
1 cup baby spinach leaves
5 mint leaves, chopped 2 Tbls of Greek Yogurt 1 scoop of Vanilla Protein Powder 1/4 c of Liquid Egg Whites

3 Ice Cubes
Blend all
ingredients - you may wish to add some water to thin it out!
